Mamitas Beach
Mamitas Beach, at the end of Calle 28, is the busiest beach in Playa del Carmen and the one with the most going on. Mamita’s Beach Club is open every day from 8 am to 6 pm, with two restaurants, a family area with a kids’ pool, a spa and a boutique. The beach itself is public, so you can lay down a towel without paying; a lounger at the club comes with a minimum spend. It gets crowded on weekends and holidays, and the water is usually calm enough for children.
